Group Workshops are short terms classes and/or topical discussions centering upon a particular topic or theme. Like an academic class, some workshop information is presented in lecture format, while at other times workshop participants participate in informal group discussions around a particular problem area or theme. The goal of workshop participation is to provide participants with new knowledge, information and skills that might benefit them in certain ways. A workshop participant is someone who is seeking knowledge and information regarding a particular topic of interest or area of concern, and who is on a quest to develop or improve upon skills in a particular area. Workshop participants are not considered formal patients, and are not the subject of psychological or counseling treatment during their workshop participation. While in some cases a workshop participant may subsequently choose to become a formal patient at Arizona Child Psychology, PLLC, or in other cases a workshop participant may be an existing patient at Arizona Child Psychology, PLLC, workshop participants are not considered patients during the time they participate in a structured group workshop. All workshops are psychoeducational in nature, and are not a substitute for professional therapy. Workshop registration fees are due in full prior to participating in the first group workshop in a scheduled series. Please see below for a brief description of our current workshop class offerings, and feel free to contact us for further information regarding any of our group workshops, scheduling dates and/or times.
