As a clinician in the behavioral health field for over 17 years, I understand both the joys and challenges associated with childhood and parenting. Although it can be a beautiful journey, there can also be significant challenges. In my practice with children, adolescents and families I have developed an awareness of some of the most common problems associated with each developmental stage, as well as best practice solutions and remedies to solve such problems. I have worked with issues spanning from simple adjustment problems to complex trauma, and am familiar with cognitive-behavioral interventions, structured and unstructured play therapy, sand tray therapy, EMDR, and many other treatment modalities. I employ a strength-based approach in my work with youth and families, and utilize an eclectic variety of tools and techniques to achieve concrete solutions. I believe that the relationship between clinician and client is the foundation upon which all other work is built, and I invest heavily in establishing and maintaining rapport with my clients. Each day I come to the office feeling honored and privileged to be able to join my clients on their journey towards optimal growth, development and fulfillment.
